The Journalist
After winning first place in a nationwide student contest organized by the Ministry of Education for the best feature story, Sawsan persisted with her passion and went on to become Bahrain’s youngest journalist at only 16 years of age when she joined AlWaqt Bahraini newspaper and has been steadily navigating the media and communication landscape ever since.
Upon earning her BS in Mass Communication and Arabic Language, she achieved nationwide recognition in her early 20s working as a journalist, interviewing a panoply of high-profile experts and reporting on current affairs.
Sawsan's journalistic experience encompasses everything from in-depth interviews and breaking news to feature writing and human-interest stories, including an exclusive feature story documenting her visit to Jordan’s Al Zaatari Syrian Refugee Camp to cover the opening of Bahrain’s School on site.
